The Royal Danish Academy – Architecture, Design, Conservation invites applications for a two-year, full-time position as a postdoc in Human-Computer Interaction and Reading Accessibility.The vacant position is affiliated with the Institute of Design and Visual Interaction, where the postdoc will be joining the research unit Centre for Visibility Design.The position should ideally be filled by 1 November 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter.You can read about the institute and the centre here:About the positionThe postdoc position is a two-year, full-time research position, supported by an externally funded grant.The work will involve designing and conducting experiments with low-vision patients recruited from private ophthalmological clinics, in collaboration with Aarhus University Hospital. QualificationsWe are seeking a postdoctoral researcher with expertise in reading psychology, visual perception, or accessibility-focused design. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with eye tracking, user experience research, or human-computer interaction-and preferably a working knowledge of how artificial intelligence can be applied in interaction design. You should be comfortable conducting independent research, coordinating experimental studies, analysing data, and working in interdisciplinary teams spanning design, engineering, and vision science.We are particularly interested in applicants who demonstrate a creative mindset and a willingness to integrate knowledge across disciplines to generate new insights that advance the field of design. A strong commitment to scientific rigor and user-centred development is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively across domains.To qualify for the position, it is required that you hold a master’s level degree in a relevant field and a PhD or PhD-level scientific qualifications.Further qualifications that would strengthen your application include*:

A qualification allowance will be negotiable, depending on your skills and experience.The position will also be filled in accordance with the applicableThis is a full-time position with an average of 37 working hours per week and includes research and a limited amount of administrative work.
