Department of Nuclear MedicinePostdoctoral Fellow (f/d/m) Molecular Imaging of Cardiovascular DiseaseHannover Medical School (MHH), with around 10,000 employees the largest state enterprise in Lower Saxony, is a university institution for research and teaching in human medicine and dentistry and a university hospital providing supramaximal care. Research, teaching, patient care and administration work hand in hand in the integration model on the MHH campus.The Department of Nuclear Medicine is looking for a Postdoctoral fellow for Translational Cardiovascular Molecular Imagin. The position is to be filled on 1 October 2025 in full-time (38.5 hours per week) for an initial period of two years with the possibility for extension.Your tasks

• Development of translational molecular imaging methods for immune cells and fibroblasts to predict disease progression after cardiac injury and guide therapies
• Work with animal models of cardiac disease
• PET/CT and PET/MRI imaging and analysis, FACS acquisition and analysis
• Single cell radiotracing, molecular biology assays
• Presentation of results at international conferences and in high impact journals
• Teaching of graduate students

Your profile

• Ph.D., Dr. rer. nat. or MD/PhD in basic cardiology, molecular imaging or comparable
• Familiarity with preclinical molecular imaging (PET/CT/MRI) is essential
• Experience with animal handling and animal surgery is advantageous
• Experience with cell culture, radioligand assays, FACS acquisition and analysis, immunostaining are valuable
• Fluent oral and written communication in English is required
• Established track record in publication and presentation of high quality research is requisite
• Independent, self-motivated, highly organized, and team-oriented
