Department of Public Health invites applicants for a Postdoc fellowship in the complexities of women’s menopausal transitions. The project is part of the interdisciplinary research initiative Women in Healthy Transition ( ).We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic postdoctoral researcher for a two-year position. The starting date is as soon as possible, preferable no later than May 1, 2025.Through a qualitative research approach, this postdoctoral position focuses on exploring how the menopausal transition is bodily experienced and how it can influence women’s everyday lives. The role involves conducting in-depth interviews and focus groups to understand the lived experiences of women during menopause through a sociological lens. You will be part of a highly interdisciplinary milieu.Information on the department can be found at:Our group and researchYou will be employed at the Department of Public Health, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen. You will be affiliated with the which contribute to the development of health promotion, prevention, and rehabilitation nationally and internationally. We investigate life course social, psychosocial, psychological, physiological and behavioral determinants of health and function, as well as the socioeconomic consequences of disease and functional decline, with a focus on social inequality. You will be part of a newly established interdisciplinary research group within the section called Women’s Health and Menopause, led by Associate Professor Maria Hybholt. We are located in Copenhagen and offer creative and stimulating working conditions in a dynamic research environment. Place of employmentThe place of employment is at the Department of Public Health, University of Copenhagen. We offer creative and stimulating working conditions in dynamic and international research environment.Terms of employmentThe average weekly working hours are 37 hours per week.The position is a fixed-term position limited to a period of two years. The starting date is as soon as possible, preferable no later than May 1, 2025.Salary, pension and other conditions of employment are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) or other relevant organisation. Currently, the monthly salary starts at 35,000 DKK/approx. 4,700 EUR (October 2021 level). Depending on qualifications, a supplement may be negotiated. The employer will pay an additional 17.1 % to your pension fund.Foreign and Danish applicants may be eligible for tax reductions, if they hold a PhD degree and have not lived in Denmark the last 10 years.The position is covered by the Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities 2020.Questions
