The Operations and Supply Chain Management Group is seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) to work on an ESRC-funded project, Combined passenger and goods transportation in suburb traffic. The project, collaborating with universities in Sweden and Austria and several business organisations, aims to develop a multimodal transport system, comprised of electric modular vehicles and electric active micro mobility, to serve both passengers and goods traffic in city suburb areas. You will be tasked with gathering relevant data (both quantitative and qualitative) from primary and secondary sources, developing business models, performing data analytics, interpreting the data analysis results, and preparing high quality academic articles and practitioner reports based on the results obtained. Candidates with necessary skillsets to complete these tasks are invited to submit their applications.

You will possess a relevant PhD, or be close to completion of a PhD, and will demonstrate (i) ability to carry out research independently and collaboratively, (ii) ability to work with business partners; (iii) the potential to publish in top academic journals. You will also need to undertake administrative duties to support the project. The appointment will be made on the basis of the University’s standard terms and conditions. You will be based at the University of Liverpool.

Any applicants who are still awaiting their PhD to be awarded should be aware that if successful, they will be appointed at grade 6, spine point 30.  Upon written confirmation that they have been successful in being awarded their PhD, they will be moved onto grade 7, spine point 31 from the date of their award.
