Job Category: AcademicJob Description:Grade UE07: £40,497 to £48,149 per annumCMVM/Clinical Sciences/Institute for Regeneration and Repair/Centre for Reproductive HealthFull-time: 35 hours per weekFixed-term: for 3 yearsThe Opportunity:This job post is for a postdoctoral research associate to conduct research on the role of two G-coupled receptors in the progression of difficult-to-treat acute myeloid leukaemia (AML).The job holder will need to (i) study the biology of GPR56/GPR97 in leukemic cells (and in normal haematopoietic stem cells as a control), (ii) establish leukaemia cell lines and human iPSCs lacking one or both GPRs, and (iii) study their effects on haematopoietic cell function to identify mechanisms involved in AML progression and chemo-resistance.This post is full-time (35 hours per week).Any appointment above spine point 4 (i.e. UE07/35) on the scale may result in a reduced contract length than advertised due to budget restraint.The salary for this post is £40,497 to £48,149 per annum.Your skills and attributes for success:
