Offer DescriptionIMDEA Nanociencia is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join the X-ray Wave-mixing Spectroscopies (X-WaveS) Group:The main tasks to be carried out are:

• Commissioning of laser based optical nonlinear time-resolved setup at IMDEA nanociencia
• Study of ultrafast demagnetization dynamics and magneto-elastic coupling in ferrimagnets and 2D materials
• Wave-mixing experiments at Free Electron Lasers worldwide
• Writing of scientific projects will be supported
• High level publications in peer-reviewed journals are foresee

RequirementsResearch Field Physics Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/Qualifications

• Expert with condensed matter systems preferably in ultrafast magnetism
• Expert with laser based time-resolved studies
• Sound knowledge of nonlinear optics
• Prolific knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken, is required
• Teamwork and flexibility are required
• Highly motivated candidates with strong publication record and systematic research attitude are encouraged to apply

Languages ENGLISH Level ExcellentAdditional InformationEligibility criteriaCOMPULSORY:

• PhD in Physics, Material Science, Nanotechnology or closely related fields of science
• Robust experience with ultrafast table-top lasers

• Experience in nonlinear optics is a pluS
