• Be in possession of a doctorate.

• Not having been separated by disciplinary proceedings from the service of any public administration, nor being disqualified by a final judgment for the performance of public functions. In the case of being a national of another country, not being disqualified or in an equivalent situation nor having been subjected to a disciplinary or equivalent sanction that prevents, in their country, under the same terms, access to public jobs.

Specific Requirements

• Hold a BSc and an MSc in either Mechanics, Biomechanics, Civil Engineering, or any related field.
• Hold a PhD degree, with a doctoral thesis focused on finite element modeling and simulation in continuum mechanics and fracture mechanics of bio-based or composite materials.
• Experience in the development, implementation, and use of finite element open-source software and codes.
• Experience in conducting experimental tests and validating FE models against experimental data will be considered a strong asset.
• Be able to demonstrate a proficient level of English, both written and spoken. Language certificate is not mandatory, but a proper English level will have to be demonstrated during the interview (see selection criteria).
• While applications from candidates worldwide are welcome, preference will be given to those holding residency within the European Union due to practical considerations related to the recruitment timeline.
• Have a bachelor’s and master’s degree (BSc and MSc) in Mechanics, Biomechanics, Civil Engineering or any related field.
• Have a doctorate (PhD), with a doctoral thesis focused on finite element modeling and simulation in continuum mechanics and fracture mechanics of biobased or composite materials.
• Experience in the development, implementation and use of open source finite element software and codes.
• Experience in conducting experimental tests and validating finite element models using experimental data will be highly valued.
• Ability to demonstrate a high level of English, both oral and written. It is not mandatory to have an official certificate, but the level of English will be checked during the interview (see selection criteria).
