Offer DescriptionTeam 9 of Irset (Institut de Recherche en Santé Environnement) is recruiting a post-doctoral epidemiologist for the CLIMABRAIN project on the impact of extreme weather events on people living with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia.The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the impact of heat and pollution peaks on people living with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia and identifying most vulnerable profiles, at a fine scale across climatologically and sociologically diverse locations in France, using medico-administrative data from the French National Health Data System (SNDS) and innovative epidemiological models, in collaboration with other team members and partners.This project will provide key results to better understand the impacts of environmental exposures related to climate change on people living with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia. These results will be directly useful in informing local and national heat prevention plans, and long-term adaptation strategies to proactively prevent the impacts of heat and pollution peaks on public health in France.Where to apply E-mailnoemie.letellier@inserm.frRequirementsResearch Field Other Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/Qualifications

• Good command of database management and statistical analysis software (R, SAS)
• Rigor in data management and processing (in particular, handling of large databases and longitudinal data)
• Advanced statistical skills (use of state-of-the-art epidemiological models including spatio-temporal analyses)
• Autonomy, initiative, ability to synthesize, methodological rigor and organizational skills
• Writing skills
• Good level of written and spoken English
• Good interpersonal skills and interest in teamwork
