Offer DescriptionThe interdisciplinary project aims to improve our understanding of the mutational processes. We seek to decipher the impact of transcription and DNA repair combined with mutagen exposure on mutational processes using a combination of genetic, genomic, microfluidic and computational approaches.The candidate will participate in a collaborative project using the Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast model to perform large-scale mutational experiments. A novel microfluidics-based approach that we recently developed is applied to strongly accelerate mutation accumulation experiments in yeast at the genomic scale. Thanks to the complementary expertise of the project partners, a computer analysis of these experimental data will help to understand the mechanisms underlying the mutational processes.The Institut de Biologie Intégrative de la Cellule (I2BC) is a joint research unit (CNRS, CEA and the Paris-Saclay University). The institute is made up of 60 research teams divided into 5 departments and 14 high-level technological platforms. The position is in the “Genome transcriptional regulation” team in the “Genome Biology” department, in close collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Laboratory on Nanoscale and Supra Molecular Organization (LIONS, CEA/Saclay).
