The top ranked candidate(s) with the best profile acquire a preparatory post-doctoral research mandate to further develop and submit a competitive research proposal to FWO (Flemish Science Foundation) or MSCA (Horizon Europe Marie Curie fellowships), with the University of Antwerp as host institution.A preparatory full-time or part-time mandate of at least 6 months (up to a maximum of 12 months) will be provided.Profile

• You hold a PhD in one of the Life Sciences (or you will have obtained it by the time you start in the position).
• Extensive knowledge and experience in oncogenetics is required.
• You have strong knowledge of bio-informatics and analysis of large datasets.
• You have strong programming skills in R and/or Python.
• You will co-supervise PhD students.
• You are quality-oriented, team-oriented, conscientious, creative and cooperative.
• You have strong communication skills.
• You can speak and write fluently in academic English.
• Your research qualities are in line with the faculty and
