Offer DescriptionIMDEA Energy is opening a Postdoctoral Researcher Position for the Systems Analysis Unit, looking for talented and motivated candidates to work on process modeling and simulation of clean fuels production, circular systems and other energy-related systems.The requirements are as follows:Tasks Description:

• Modeling of chemical, photocatalytic and energy systems based on their chemistry, thermodynamics and/or kinetics.
• Design and simulation of processes/systems based on the developed models.
• Techno-economic assessment of the developed models and energy-related processes/systems.
• Communicate and disseminate research results through high-quality scientific channels including high impact scientific publications, presentations in conferences, etc.
• Supervision of Master or undergraduate studies.

• PhD in Chemical, Environmental or Energy Engineering, or a related area.
• Deep knowledge and demonstrable experience on process modeling and simulation of chemical/energy processes, as well as in specific software software (Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS,…).

Specific Requirements

• Knowledge of clean fuels production and hydrogen
• Knowledge of photocatalytic systems.
• Knowledge of techno-economic assessment of energy and industrial processes/plants/systems.
• Participation in networks, research projects and contracts in the field of simulation of energy or chemical systems.
• Oral and written communication skills in English.

• Remuneration: Between 39.000€ – 42.000€ per year, depending upon qualification and expertise.

*The contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish Public Health and Social Security System.
