VHIR offers vacancy/vacant position for a medical, predoctoral investigator within the Pneumology Department and the Catalan Center of Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. More information about our group can be found here ( )Education and qualifications:Required:

• Graduate in Medicine.
• Specialist in Respiratory Medicine.
• Interest in conduct a PhD project.
• Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, English (business level).

Desired:

• Interest in clinical research.
• Previous experience working in the AATD field.
• Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, English (business level).

Experience and knowledge:Required:

• Clinical experience in management of chronic respiratory diseases, in particular COPD and alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency.
• Knowledge of excel, REDcap, database management.

Desired:

• Knowledge in statistics, database analysis.

Main responsibilities and duties:

• Give support to the research group in COPD and alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency
• Design of protocols of clinical research.
• Collection of data (including sample collections and performance of pulmonary function tests) and collaboration in data analysis and interpretation.
• Basic sample processing.
• Inclusion of data in registries and databases.
• Preparation of reports and scientifical communication of results.

Labour conditions:

• Full-time position: 40h/week.
• Starting date: June 2025.
• Gross annual salary: 18.180,41€ euros during the first and second years, 19.479,01€. During the third year.
• Contract: temporay.
