We’re looking for enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants, ideally with autism experience, to join a friendly and supportive team.This is a wonderful opportunity to make a huge difference to children’s lives in a variety of settings for children aged 5–11 with autism and severe learning difficulties (SLD).Greenwich – Education and trainingWhat you’ll be doing in as a Primary teaching assistant:

• Support children with autism and/or severe learning difficulties (SLD)
• Provide 1:1 or small group support within a specialized setting
• Foster a positive, calm, and happy atmosphere
• Utilize a play-centric and therapeutic approach to education

Essential Qualifications for a Teaching Assistant – SEND Base:

• DBS: Ideally has a DBS on the update service.
• Support Academic and Personal Development: Monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and foster a supportive classroom environment that nurtures each child’s unique potential.
• Support Classroom Behaviour: Establish and support clear routines, expectations, and boundaries to create a calm, respectful, and productive learning space for all children.
• Collaborate with Colleagues and Parents: Work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to support each child’s progress and well-being.
