specialising in environmental services including environmental planning and assessment,
sustainability and environmental management. We have in-house specialist teams in ecology,
arboriculture, landscape, green infrastructure, cultural heritage and archaeology, air quality

Our EIA team has worked on a wide range of EIA projects for public and private sector clients.
This includes high profile projects for major infrastructure projects. Due to the growing demand for environmental assessment support/services from clients we are
seeking an experienced and motivated EIA consultant to join our dynamic and
growing EIA Team. You will be involved in delivering and managing projects and will help grow
our business in this area.

About the Principal EIA Consultant
The Principal position will be part of our EIA team and will work closely with our technical
discipline teams across the country to deliver a diverse array of projects. Drawing from your
expertise, you will identify potential environmental risks and propose effective mitigation
measures to minimise potential environmental impacts of our clients projects. You will play a
critical role in ensuring our projects comply with all relevant environmental regulations and
standards.
Our Principal Consultants lead projects as either Project Director or Project Manager, and
contribute to business development with a focus on EIA and HRA. At this level you will also be
expected to provide guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team. You will have a
proven track record of managing, co-ordinating and leading EIA teams to deliver high quality
assessments to time and to budget.
Skills, experience and qualifications required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related
field - Professional membership of IEMA or CIEEM (Full or working towards this) or RPTI
- Proven experience in delivering EIA’s for clients on medium to large projects for a range
of clients and specialist in one or more EIA disciplines - Understanding of Habitats Regulation Assessment (HRA), Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA)
and Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) - Significant consultancy experience
- Excellent project management experience and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and enthusiastic and confident with clients.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and guidance
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
- Experienced in tender preparation and bid writing
