This vacancy is only open to current University of Worcester students in Worcester Business School seeking a working placement opportunity.
The Finance Department are seeking a current student to join them for a 14-month placement as a Procurement Assistant, with a likely start date of July 2023.
This is an exciting role in a busy and diverse part of the University’s Finance team. It will involve maintaining accurate records of supplier applications, assisting the procurement team in the acquisition of goods and services, scheduling tender responses and clarifying data to ensure contract pricing is correct, undertaking due diligence checks in line with Financial regulations and maintaining central records in the Teams environment and the Oracle Finance system.
The role will also involve supporting the Procurement Team in the growth of our social and sustainability reporting across the Higher Education sector and the preparation of data to monitor our carbon emissions in the supply chain.
This role will provide good experience in dealing with internal and external customers and will give valuable experience of working in a professional office environment. The post holder will be required to speak to colleagues, students and other stakeholders on a daily basis so good customer service skills, good written and communication skills are required.

From 1 August 2023, the salary range for this role will increase to £21,806 – £22,214, with the opportunity to progress to £23,699.
