At Corbion, we exist to champion preservation in all its forms, preserving food and food production, health, and our planet.As our Procurement Category Manager, you are responsible for the sourcing of non-product related categories for our European sites in The Netherlands (Plant in Gorinchem and HQ in Amsterdam)You develop and execute category strategies, engage with supplier base and internal cross-functional teams. You are accountable for indirect spend costs savings ideation, documentation and long-term/pipeline savings project generation and delivering against individual, department and company annual targets/KPI’s. You proactively update management on issues and opportunities.You are based out of our site in Gorinchem, The Netherlands and report to the Director Procurement NPR Europe.Responsibilities

• Informing stakeholders on market dynamics within the assigned categories and the impact of price volatility on business performance.
• Develop, recommend, execute and communicate (cross functional) procurement strategies for assigned categories
• Proactively collaborate with internal stakeholders(R&D, Operations, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Pricing, etc.).
• Maintain contracts and commitments in a timely manner to understand and mitigate financial exposure.
• Identify and implement cost savings opportunities within NPR categories.
• Represent Procurement and actively participate in cross functional Corbion wide projects.
• Drive for efficiency (Procurement process) and continuous improvement.
• Manage selected NPR vendors between 20 – 250 K euro including the mapping of items, suppliers, and masterdata;
• Manage NPR catalogues of related categories and drive efficiency in the procurement process
• Executed RFQ’s, RFP’s and deliver saving targets
• Support with implementation of (operational and tactical) procurement tools and act as a process expert on the source to pay process.

About youWe are looking for a procurement professional with a drive for results, who meets the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, business or related disciplines.
• At least 2 years’ experience in procurement/supply chain function within the field of Non-Product related procurement.
• Understanding of markets of assigned categories and the supply/demand fundamentals that make up price risk management.
• Understands the relationship between price movement and specific risk to the business
• Participates in cross-functional teams to champion change throughout the organization.
• Ability to understand/communicate/present and execute procurement strategies
• Demonstrates ability to work within a cross functional matrix environment where responsibilities are layered throughout the organization.
• Ability to successfully participate on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of contract management and resolution procedures
• Excellent Dutch and English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Hands on mentality a true team player
