Job Description Summary
BD Medical – Pharmaceutical Systems (PS) provides industry-leading needle technologies, prefillable syringes, safety and shielding systems, and self-injection systems for pharmaceutical and biotech companies across the globe. The teams offer an extensive selection of solutions designed to protect, package and deliver drug therapies. Billions of products are manufactured by our 7 global factories each year.
Working with cross-functional teams, PS business and Category Managers, PS Procurement Performance Manager creates and executes strategies and projects with suppliers to drive significant savings, CI, performance improvements. He / she leads a team to identify, quantify and execute procurement opportunities (savings, performance improvement, higher efficiencies), leveraging continuous improvement methods and tools.
PS Procurement Performance Manager works closely with operation sites, BU and global functions on the execution of agreed continuous improvement programs.

We’re seeking a dedicated Procument Performance Manager to join our team
Key tasks of the roles include:
Identifying continuous improvement savings and managing cross-functional implementation to improve performance of key components and suppliers; monitor supplier savings performance
Working with supplier, plants, operation, sourcing, quality, engineering to identify, develop, lead Kaizen to reduce cost in raw material and indirect services
Supporting plants Kaizen/workshops to drive down Cost per unit related to raw materials and indirect services
Driving Continuous Improvement and promoting continuous improvement techniques at suppliers delivering higher performance and efficiencies
Interfacing with internal & external partners to identify performance gaps, quantifying financial impacts and collaboratively pursue solutions for resolution
Providing regular feedback to procurement managers on supplier OTIF performance and improvement plans in order to integrate this in business reviews and category strategies
Accelerating optimization and savings on tail spend with the plants
Supporting in the consolidation of savings opportunities pipeline and ensuring this is permanently updated
Organizing regular reviews with the plants and coordinating support of the procurement team
on the procurement scope only, supporting raw material supply hot points and coordinating crisis requiring procurement lead, if procurement manager requires support
Working very closely with SQA, supporting quality procedures, audits if required, regular performance review, metrics review, hypercare model
Working in alignment with SC, operation, functions and to ensure strong collaboration
Supporting management of global programs; Supporting BDx scorecard initiatives and ensuring deployment in the business
Managing supplier performance (OTIF), monitoring gaps, and ensuring strong actions plans are in place to increase performance on critical suppliers
May structure and lead supplier development plan for appropriate supplier
Partner with Design To Value team, Procurement Business Solutions or Supplier facing if required
Your profile and qualification:
Procurement expertise with minimum 5 years of experience as a procurement manager
Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methods (Lean, 6sigma, Kaizen, Investigation – problem solving)
Supplier Management, including evaluation and continuous improvement programs
Management of cross functional teams and working in a matrix environment
Strong project, program management experience, financial evaluation skills
Excellent ability to influence internally and externally (indirect management)
Leadership
Very good analytical ability; SAP Knowledge;
Ability to report at all levels of the organization.
Fluent in English
Excellent communication in a multicultural, multifunctional environment
