We are looking for:

An experienced business and sales development manager to manage a global product portfolio of Skin Care ingredients and drive its business development in the EMEA market. Critical to our growth ambitions in the Beauty Care market, the position is about developing our Skin Care segment by managing a global product portfolio, driving and supporting our sales forces in EMEA and handling a portfolio of direct skin care customers in the EMEA region.

We count on you for:

You will be in charge of strategic planning, driving the development of our product portfolio and innovation pipeline in strong collaboration with R&I, working with the regional EMEA sales managers and distributors, and steering our global operational marketing initiatives, ultimately translating into new sales and profitable contribution margins.

EMEA business development:

  • Develop and implement the operational marketing plan of the skin care ingredients portfolio (pricing, promotion tools, communication plan,regulatory), working closely with support functions and regional business development managers.

  • Manage the performance of your product lines (sales, margin, growth, opportunities pipeline).

  • Define the innovation strategy with R&I, giving direction to R&I for the technical work and coordinate new product launches.

  • Perform and maintain an in depth market intelligence, to support the product lines strategy

EMEA business development:

  • Manage a portfolio of direct accounts for Skin Care products

  • Support the EMEA sales team and distribution network as BDM (business development manager) for Skin Care

  • Manage the opportunity pipeline for Skin Care

You will bring:

Your strong development mindset, your strategic thinking, and your technology/ingredients/formulation background, will enable you to interface with multiple stakeholders both internally (sales, marketing, R&I, regulatory) as well as externally. You will be instrumental in positioning Solvay as an innovative partner in specialty ingredients and solutions for the Skin Care market

  • Scientific and technical background in chemistry ,formulation, consumer markets, with previous experience in Skin Care market. Understanding of skin science / skin biological mechanisms.

  • Business/marketing background (MBA, or on job business experience), with more than 5 years marketing or sales experience in Beauty Care / Skin Care.

  • Hunter / entrepreneurial spirit, driven by delivery of business results. Strong team player and ability to navigate in complex organizations.

  • Experience with product launch in the Beauty Care market, development of 5 year strategic roadmap/operational marketing plan.

  • Strong communication skills, ability to create presentations, communicate marketing and technical information to a broad audience.

  • Aubervilliers based position with the ability to travel (20-40%)
