As a Product Manager at Elanco, you will play a pivotal role in discovering and delivering digital solutions within a complex product area, ensuring they are valuable and viable, delivering meaningful outcomes that are aligned with corporate strategy and goals.We are seeking a technically fluent product leader with software engineering experience and a recent track record as a product manager or Scrum product owner. In this keystone role within the engineering organisation, you will be accountable for championing industry-leading developer experience across Elanco. You will drive the creation and continuous improvement of our self-service digital developer platform, to help empower diverse engineering teams to deliver compliant, secure, and high-quality applications at pace. You will set and own clear performance metrics—such as cycle time reduction, platform adoption, and developer satisfaction (eNPSse impact.)As the face of engineering experience for our internal customers, you will proactively partner with teams across the enterprise, advocating for the needs of all developers, fostering psychological safety, and promoting practices that make our platform and culture truly inclusive. You will encourage new opportunities to leverage AI and automation, enabling our developers to work more efficiently and creatively, while ensuring best-in-class control and compliance in a regulated (pharmaceutical) environment.In this Product Manager role, you will initially concentrate on driving innovation, efficiency and leveraging your expertise to enhance our processes and digital products. As part of a dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to broaden your impact by transitioning into other product spaces as new priorities and opportunities arise. This role offers a unique platform to adapt and grow, aligning your career trajectory with evolving business objectives and emerging opportunities across Elanco’s diverse product landscape.Your Responsibilities:As a Product Manager, you’ll lead product growth and innovation, enhancing product value through strategic insights, ensuring product feasibility, compliance, and alignment with both customer and business needs.Competencies:

• Provide influential insights and establish domain expertise supported by strong analytical skills.
• Introduce proactive solutions addressing market and customer demands.
• Champion further customer engagement initiatives to streamline user experiences.
• Maintain and prioritise product backlog and adapt in strategic development efficiently.
• Execute iterative and valuable product outcomes through practised agile methodologies.
• Deliver reliable iterations of work to timelines.

Problem Solving:

• Analyse and resolve product challenges using data-driven insights.
• Identify impactful solutions, mitigating potential risks.
• Collaborate with teams to lead clear definitions and measurable objectives in problem articulation.

Communication:

• Persuasively communicate strategic product value across varied audiences.
• Maintain transparency and alignment in stakeholder discourse.
• Invite and engage in active listening to refine understanding and promote team collaboration.

Independence:

• Demonstrate ownership in product strategy and budget management.
• Lead in business planning processes while showing flexibility to strategic shifts.
• Owns the definition and achievement of key developer experience metrics—such as time to onboarding, developer satisfaction/NPS, platform adoption rate, and software delivery cycle time. Uses industry best-practice metrics (DORA, friction logs, adoption analytics) to drive continual improvement

Leadership:

• Provide experience-based recommendations to leadership, demonstrating strategic insight.
• Inspire and evangelize product vision and strategic direction within teams.
• Cultivate a thriving team environment through effective leadership practices.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

• 7+ years technology experience showcasing strong learning agility in multiple business domains
