Our Bathgate location in Scotland, UK is an integral part of Catalent’s European clinical supply services network. This 141,000 sq. ft. facility has a comprehensive range of capabilities to support sponsors’ studies throughout the UK, Europe and beyond, including clinical supply management, FastChain® demand-led supply, clinical-scale commercial packaging, and QP release services.Catalent is currently recruiting for a packaging engineer to join our Bathgate site. The Packaging engineer will ensure health and safety in all aspects of the role are maintained and in compliance with company procedures and government regulation, they will also maintain equipment to support operational activities for both clinical and commercial work including serialisation.The Role:

• Maintenance of Primary and secondary packaging equipment including maintenance trending with mean time between failure.
• Maintenance of commercial packaging equipment including maintenance trending with mean time between failure and Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
• Validation of all equipment within the facility including documentation.
• Analysis for continuous improvement opportunities in all process areas and equipment including incorporation of mistake proofing and improving change over for process rooms and equipment utilising lean tools like SMED as an example.
• Lead activity for setting up new equipment including validation activities, training for Operational teams and working with operational teams to define the best way of operation to maximise process efficiency during setup.
• Work with clients, Preproduction and production teams to develop new product requests through design, set up, validation and training of new process and process changes.
• Support client and regulatory audits as required.

The Candidate:

• HND qualification
• Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• Must have a demonstratable knowledge of commercial serialisation.
• Able to complete all Validation activities from URS through to release to site.
• A working knowledge of change control and CSV is preferred but not essential.
• A self-starter who can work on their own initiative as well as working within a team.
• Able to convey complex technical information to others at all levels within the business.
