Are you ready for a technically challenging role with real impact?Then ENGIE, leader in the energy transition, needs YOU!For our thermal power plants in the Bruges-Ghent-Brussels region, we are looking for a Project Engineer Electricity & Instrumentatie (M/F/X) to strengthen our team.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES as Project Engineer E&IYou will be part of a dedicated and close-knit project team working on various maintenance and new construction projects, ranging from electrical renovations and charging solutions to automation and mechanical upgrades.A selection of your tasks:

• You lead multiple E&I maintenance projects from A to Z at our production sites.
• You support innovative projects such as battery storage, charging stations, or upgrades of automation systems.
• You prepare technical dossiers and collaborate with engineering firms, suppliers, and local authorities.
• You request quotes, make cost calculations, and manage technical planning.
• You monitor the execution on-site: you ensure safety, quality, and timing, and make adjustments where necessary.
• You evaluate projects, prepare final reports, and develop improvement proposals.

Specifically, you will work on:

• Design and commissioning of battery parks (e.g., Battery project in Vilvoorde)
• Close collaboration with technical teams on-site (mechanical & electrical) to coordinate project steps
• You gain insight into the entire project cycle, from cable calculation and price comparison to system testing and documentatio

YOUR PROFILE as Project Engineer E&I

• You have an engineering degree (industrial or civil) or equivalent experience.
• Your base is Ghent, but you are willing to travel regularly (Bruges-Ghent-Brussels) depending on the projects.
• You are practical, proactive, and like to take initiative.
• You enjoy working with people and know how to motivate and align teams – from technicians to external suppliers.
• You are structured, solution-oriented, and strong in planning and coordination.
• You speak fluent Dutch and English – French is a plus.
• You are not afraid to delve into a large technical environment and work independently quickly. You love to learn and collaborate within an organization with many processes and involved stakeholders
