We’re working with a well-established civil engineering contractor on the lookout for an experienced Project Manager to oversee schemes across the Eastern region, covering the Cambridge and Peterborough areas. The role offers the chance to lead on a mix of challenging and high-impact infrastructure projects highways schemes.
This is a great opportunity for a proven leader in the civils space who enjoys delivering technically complex projects while nurturing and developing teams around them.What you’ll be doing:
·Leading site teams, operatives and subcontractors to deliver schemes safely and to programme
·Preparing and implementing project documentation – including method statements, risk assessments and management plans
·Monitoring contract performance against programme and budget
·Working closely with clients and consultants, maintaining strong relationships throughout the lifecycle of the project
·Overseeing design coordination and liaising with technical teams
·Supporting commercial teams with subcontractor assessment and procurement
·Mentoring and developing junior staff members and engineers
·Championing health, safety, quality and environmental standards across the boardWhat we’re looking for:
·A Project Manager with a strong civils background
·Excellent people and communication skills
·Comfortable managing change, deadlines, and subcontract packages
·A relevant civil engineering qualification (HND, HNC, BEng or equivalent)
·Valid SMSTS and CSCS
·First Aid at Work (preferred but not essential)
·Right to work in the UKWhat’s on offer:
