Project Manager (Capital Works)

The Department of Campus Infrastructure are recruiting a new Project Manager to manage our most complex and exciting capital projects!

About the role:

You will be managing key projects across our diverse estate that range from our original 1960s plan through to our £70million School of Management building which opened last year.

Within this dynamic role you will:

  • Draw on the experience of a diverse project team
  • Collaborate with a range of colleagues and stakeholders
  • Take responsibility for project performance, quality assurance and risk assessments

Developing cohesive project teams will be key to your success through the effective procurement, contracting and coordination of services either in-house or externally.

About you:

  • Proven success in delivering multiple complex projects at the same time within a similar estate environment
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Chartered Project Manager or Quantity Surveyor status
  • An understanding of the legal and practical aspects of NEC and JCT contracts
  • Experience procuring, contracting and allocating / managing workloads for a mix of internal and external colleagues
  • Successfully led external consultants and contractors to ensure success
