We’re working with a civil engineering contractor looking to appoint a Project Manager to lead and deliver Civil Engineering schemes throughout the UK. Typical projects include pipelines, drainage, earthworks, and energy from waste, up to £12m in value.
This is a hands-on role overseeing site operations, commercial performance, and client relationships from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations across civil engineering sites
• Lead site teams and subcontractors to deliver work safely and efficiently
• Develop and manage project programmes, ensuring works are delivered on time
• Monitor budgets, track costs, and work with commercial teams on valuations and variations
• Maintain site SHEQ standards and ensure all reporting is accurate and up to date
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development

Requirements:

• Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Proven experience delivering civil engineering projects (e.g., roads, drainage, groundworks)
• Solid understanding of contract administration (NEC preferred)
• Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills
• Comfortable taking full responsibility for site performance

£60000 – 70000 per year
