The Development Office works to secure philanthropic donations for the academic priorities of the University of Oxford. We’re looking for a highly versatile and motivated team player to join us and make a significant contribution to the University’s development efforts.

You will be responsible for maintaining sickness and holiday records, purchasing goods and services, and creating purchase orders using the Oracle Financials database, for which full training will be given. You will often be the first point of contact to the Development Office for people both internal and external, whether by phone, email or in person. You will have exemplary customer services skills, the ability to prioritise and a real adaptability in your approach, happy to vary your administration tasks to support whatever is required at different times. You will have friendly and professional communication skills to deal with various levels of people both internally and externally to the Office. You will also be proficient in IT, particularly Microsoft Office packages and databases. You will be able to work to deadlines, both independently as well as part of a team. This is a great opportunity to gain an insight into the foundations of philanthropy whilst building skills in finance and administration, and find out more about the University’s academic departments, museums and libraries, as well as getting chances to experience University events and ceremonies as an onsite steward.

Only applications received before 12.00 noon on Monday 13 March 2023 can be considered.

You will be required to upload a supporting evidence form which explains how you meet the selection criteria for the post as part of your online application.

Interviews are currently scheduled to take place on Tuesday 21 March 2023.
