We are seeking a keen Purchasing and Administrator assistant to join the RDM Cardiovascular Medicine admin team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for working in purchasing and aspects of HR administration in a University research setting. Meticulous attention to detail is essential, as are IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, e-mail and Web. The job is wide ranging and will involve contact with a wide variety of people at all levels, both within the department and beyond, including academic and research staff, students, staff within the University offices, outside suppliers and grantors and hospital staff
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to Finance and Administrative and HR duties. This includes the processing of purchase orders on Oracle Financials, entering of delivery notes on Oracle Financials and dealing with queries, keeping on top of compulsory training records for all staff and more.
You are required to be educated to GCSE standard and should have proven experience of working in an administration environment, with an ability to generate high volumes of accurate work, excellent attention to detail, as well as a high level of literacy and numeracy. Experience of University’s Oracle Financial system would be desirable.
This is a full time appointment on a fixed term contract for 3 years and you will be based at the Level 6 West Wing John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, OX3 9DU.
