Eurosearch Consultants, on behalf of an important Italian company operating in the manufacturing of PVC sheeting, is searching for a:PURCHASING MANAGERThe Purchasing Manager will coordinate 2 resources and will be responsible for the company’s purchasing team:Technical Experience:

• Ideally should have knowledge about plastic materials used in production (resins, additives, polymers, etc.).
• Ability to identify, assess, and select suppliers to negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery conditions, and quality with both local and international suppliers.
• Ability to plan and monitor raw material inventory to ensure there are no shortages or excesses. Maintain inventory management and demand analysis.
• Negotiate transportation options (sea, air, rail, road freight).
• Proficiency in using ERP systems like SAP and purchasing management tools.
• Ability to plan long-term purchases, considering market fluctuations and production needs.
• Strong negotiation skills, capable of obtaining better prices, favorable payment terms, and appropriate delivery times while maintaining good relationships with suppliers.
• Ability to define key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supplier performance, such as delivery punctuality, material quality, and adherence to deadlines.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations in the plastics sector (such as environmental and safety standards) and ensuring compliance with these legal requirements.

Requirements:

• University degree.
• Experience in purchasing and supply management, preferably in the plastics industry.
• Experience managing international suppliers (especially within Europe or with suppliers from Asia) and negotiating contracts.
• Experience with inventory management and demand planning tools.
