We have been operating in Ireland since 1946.PURPOSE OF THE JOBThis Quality Specialist supports manufacturing localisation efforts in targeted regions. This role is essential in ensuring that the local manufacturing processes meet the highest standards of compliance and quality.The role will collaborate with cross-functional team members to support the compliant transfer of manufacturing processes for semi-finished goods from Infectious Disease International Sites to third party manufacturers (TPM) in targeted regions and in partnership with the TPM drive optimization of the needed quality subsystem and related processes there, tracking progress and status, in an effort to ensure compliance.Responsibilities and Duties:Quality Assurance: Support the development and implementation of adequate quality assurance processes to ensure that local manufacturing operations adhere to global quality standards.Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, standards, and guidelines relevant to the manufacturing industry.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of local manufacturing operations.Training and Development: Provide training and support to local manufacturing teams on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.Audit Readiness: Prepare and support local manufacturing sites for internal and external audits, ensuring continuous audit readiness.Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of quality processes, procedures, and compliance records.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to ensure seamless integration of quality standards into local manufacturing processes.Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks.Education & ExperienceMinimum of 3 years relevant industry experience.A Primary Degree in Science or Manufacturing Engineering is required.Excellent communication skills to ensure effective engagement across multiple cultures.Clear capability to coach and develop and promote teamwork.Clear demonstrated capability to develop and execute a strategic plan for future Quality , Operating and Regulatory system requirements.Strong ability to network across Abbott and to leverage Global support and expertise to support the plan development and execution.Excellent Stakeholder management capability.Has a history of completing successful projects and driving positive compliance outcomes.The base pay for this position is N/AIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.JOB FAMILY: Operations QualityDIVISION: ID Infectious DiseaseLOCATION: Ireland
