Quantity Surveyor – Kent

We have an exciting new opportunity for a QS in Kent for a major contractor who deals with Highways 278 works. Do you have experience in all aspects of civil industry…this may be the role for you.

Our client deals with river, water, highways, infrastructure, public realm and nuclear. The ideal candidate would have experience in all, however the project is mainly highways. As a Quantity surveyor, you will be overseeing the commercial resources and project teams on the project, help maximise the cash flow and margin, assessing, reviewing and mitigating risks.

Day Rate (CIRCA) – GBP350.00 – GBP400.00

Start Date – April

Duration – Ongoing

Location – Kent

Responsibilities will include:

– Managing all aspects of the contractual side to the project

– Carrying out cost analysis

– Monitoring cost variations and writing reports

– Allocating work to subcontractors and making payments

– Ensuring the project does not exceed the budget

Requirements:

– Diploma or Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying

– Knowledge of NEC3 and 4 contracts

– Ideally experience from a civil background

– Experience in a similar role

– Excellent numeracy, understanding forecast management, CVRs and supplementary financial reports and final accounts

– Intermediate user of Excel and good use of other Microsoft packages

– UK Driving Licence
