Cellply is a life science tools company based in Bologna, Italy. We have developed a next generation analysis platform to transform cell therapy discovery, development and quality control using novel single cell approaches to carry out multi-parametric assays in parallel from the same sets of cells. We are creating the new standard for fast, automated, and multiplexed assays that puts more critical data in the hands of cell therapy researchers in basic science, pharma, release testing and beyond.We are seeking a motivated R&D Scientist to join Cellply R&D team to work on cell therapy applications. The R&D Scientist will plan, design and conduct advanced studies to support research and development. He/she will investigate and develop new assay and applications, summarize data and analyze results. The selected candidate will coordinate with other groups and functions to support the R&D of the Cellply platform.RequirementsResponsibilities:

• In-house development of new assays and applications for cell therapy characterization, both designing and performing experimental work
• Validate assays and applications developed
• Write procedures, protocols & reports in collaboration with the R&D and Product teams
• Work effectively in multidisciplinary team including engineering and computational sciences, addressing diverse scientific and technical questions

Requirements:

• MS or higher, included PhD degree in Immunology, Biotechnology or similar
• 3+ yrs industry od academic research lab experience in an immunology or cancer biology lab
• Hands-on experience on in-vitro testing and assays for cell analysis
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience of demonstrable ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams is preferred
• Knowledge in immunology or cell therapy is highly recommended
