This role involves developing sourcing strategies, identifying and qualifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost savings and process improvements. The Regional Commodity Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, finance, and supply chain, to ensure the availability of high-quality commodities while optimizing costs and mitigating supply chain risks. ,

• Commodity Strategy: Develop and align sourcing strategies with regional business goals.
• Supplier Management: Identify, qualify, and manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluations and contract negotiations.
• Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations to secure favorable terms, pricing, and conditions.
• Cost Optimization: Drive initiatives for cost reduction and process improvements.
• Supply Chain Risk Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks with proactive strategies.
• Supplier Performance Evaluation: Define KPIs, conduct evaluations, and drive continuous improvement.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with operations, engineering, finance, and supply chain teams.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business strategies.
• Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and promote ethical sourcing practices.

• Required 5-7 years’ experience in commodity management, strategic sourcing, or procurement, preferably within the designated commodity field.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or engineering.
• Ability to understand/read drawings/technical specifications
• Fluency in English (both written and verbal)
• Excellent MS Excel skills and general IT literacy.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Strong knowledge of commodity-specific sourcing strategies, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze spend data, conduct market research, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional and regional environment, collaborating with stakeholders across different departments and regions.
• Strong business acumen, strategic thinking.
• Nice to have: German language knowledge
