Robert Half Talent Solutions is currently looking for a Regulatory Advisor with finance/economics background (m/f/x) for a permanent position based in Brussels.Our client is an international and growing company active in the energy sector. They will give you the opportunity to work on intellectually challenging projects and have an impact on the future of the company. You will work with a lot of autonomy and have direct contact with board members.As Regulatory Advisor (m/f/x) you will be responsible for:Managing tariff and regulatory documents (drafting and coordination)

• You will design and draft regulatory documents (transmission program, access code, terms of service, etc.);
• You will coordinate and monitor the preparation of these documents (in collaboration with the relevant departments);
• You will defend regulatory documents and secure their approval by the relevant regulator(s);
• You will help to prepare tariff documents;

Monitoring & Developing tariffs models

• You will monitor and analyse trends in the components comprising authorised income and verify their compliance with the tariff documents;
• You will develop financial and economic models to calculate service prices;
• You will incorporate operating, infrastructure and regulatory costs into the models;

Optimising tariffs

• You will ensure that prices are competitive while complying with legal constraints;
• You will strike a balance between profitability and compliance with the obligations imposed by regulators;

Monitoring regulations

• You will monitor regulations in order to identify any regulatory changes that could have an impact;

Managing stakeholders

• You will represent dealings with regulators and stakeholders, supporting our analyses and positions with confidence and expertise.

The required profile for the Regulatory Advisor (m/f/x) position:

• Master’s degree in economics or finance;
• You have at least two years of experience in financial analysis;
• You have a strong facility with numbers and excellent analytical skills;
• You have a strong interest in the energy sector;
• You are a good communicator, a proactive person and like to take initiative;
• You are motivated by new challenges and solution-oriented;
• One of your strengths is the ability to argue convincingly and you excel at creating clear and impactful presentations;
• You speak fluent Dutch, French and English.
