We want to talk to you!Join our community.Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is Santander’s global division that supports some of the world’s most complex and sophisticated corporate and institutional clients, offering customized services and value-added wholesale products to best meet their needs.A new and exciting position has become available in our Compliance Department for a Regulatory Compliance Controls Associate.In this role you’ll be primarily responsible for conducting regulatory compliance and financial crime compliance reviews within Santander Corporate and Investment Banking.You’ll conduct compliance risk assessments and support the Regional Head of Compliance MTA with ad-hoc projects and tasks.If you are interested in growing your career in Compliance, then this will be the perfect position for you.The difference you’ll make:Preparing the review scope and presenting it to Compliance ManagementPreparing and following written test plans, and executing all tasks set out within the agreed timeframesMaintaining accurate and complete records of work carried out during reviewsMonitoring the progress and completion of Corrective Action PlansOrganising, facilitating, and reporting on meetings with internal stakeholdersDeveloping close working relationships with the first, second and third line of defences stakeholders to ensure they understand the compliance obligations and regulatory requirements, and the implications of failing to meet such requirementsWhat you’ll bring:These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:Prior experience in Compliance Monitoring/Testing or Internal Audit preferably within Corporate and Investment BankingKnowledge of key regulations, such as FCA Handbook, EMIR, MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, and VolckerExperience in either Internal Audit, Assurance, or Compliance Controls TestingIt would also be nice for you to have:Understanding of Wholesale Banking Products and secondary marketsKnowledge of Data Analytics and data interrogation techniquesStrong influencing and collaborative working skillsExcellent written & oral communication skillsWhat else you need to know:This role is based at our offices in Triton Square, London located within easy walking distance from Warren Street and Euston.We want our people to thrive at work and home, and also be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop.
