What’s the role?Our client is seeking a Regulatory Reporting Analyst, to assist with managing and enhancing regulatory reporting processes within their Finance division.The team is responsible for calculating and reporting key prudential metrics (capital, liquidity, leverage, large exposure) to the PRA, as well as submitting statistical reports to the Bank of England and/or FCA/PRA. You’ll also contribute to the Pillar 3 annual document and manage regulatory changes, such as Basel 3.1, while ensuring compliance with both external and internal requirements.This role offers variety and impact, with opportunities to work across multiple reports and actively drive process improvements to strengthen the wider team’s capabilities. If you have a proactive mindset and are passionate about regulatory reporting and process optimisation, this role will be for you.Your day-to-day activities will include

  • Lead reporting for a number of regulatory returns. Depending on experience/preference this will be either liquidity or capital focussed.
  • Support the analysis for Basel 3.1 data and calculator gaps
  • Support ongoing process automation and process efficiency across the team, including transition to a new calculation tool
  • Support internal business change and implementation for regulatory reporting
  • Engage with stakeholders to optimise information provided to the team
  • Present MI to senior management in relation to report review and approval
  • Support Pillar 3 annual document
  • Support wider regulatory related activity, for example ICAAP and ILAAP as required

What knowledge, skills & experience we need

  • Prudential reporting background (minimum 5 years)
  • Proven ability to redesign existing excel solutions to simplify/automate
  • Strong communication – written via monthly MI and verbal
  • Good analytics capability / data literate
  • Understanding of financial control environments and control design. Ability to implement risk and control frameworks
  • Familiarity with vendor calculation engines desirable
  • Ability to deploy code to aid analysis and automation desirable
