• Development of new innovative reinforcement materials and composite technologies for ContiTech Industry products (worldwide), with focus on steel cords, wire, ropes, fabrics, etc.
• Maintain our technology leadership, drive sustainability & innovation, cost & quality improvements, along with material consolidation
• Support the serial introduction of new materials and products (hoses, conveying belts, power transmission belts, air springs, etc.), including testing, processing and specification setting, together with relevant departments and functions
• Management and evaluation of lab tests in the development phase
• Identify and implement optimization potentials
• Central R&D contact regarding owned materials for ContiTech worldwide
• Drive activities to improve and standardize procedures as a part of a lean and agile organization
• Work together with other functions (Research, Process Development, Product Development, Testing), Operations and Business Areas
• Provide technical expertise, drive knowledge sharing, and support in problem-solving

Qualifications

• Academic degree in Textile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or similar qualification
• Experience in development of reinforcement materials (metals, textiles) and/or rubber composites
• Knowledge in material testing / evaluation and data analysis
• Strong analytical skills – problem solving, decision making, data classification, examination of correlations, etc.
• Strong customer-oriented thinking, ownership, and collaboration skills
• Sense of urgency in completing projects on time and effectively
• Intercultural fluency
• Project management experience
• Fluent English and Hungarian language skills
