For our Client we are currently looking for Candidates with 5+ years experience for the position of:
Release Manager
Location: Warszawa (PL) lub Łódź (PL) lub Gdańsk (PL) lub Gdynia (PL)Type of contract: contract (B2B by Hays Poland)Cooperation: long-term cooperation (first contract for 12 months)Rate: do 137 PLN/h net + VATStart date: ASAP, max. within 1 monthRemote work: HybridDetailed description of work task to be carried out:Welcome to the Execution & Delivery Unit. The focus is on enabling efficient, scalable, and repeatable release management operations for the vast majority of IT initiatives.As a Release Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that new releases to technology platforms and applications are planned and executed efficiently, with the highest quality for customers and operations, and in compliance with organizational standards.You will be working with many different stakeholders such as other release managers, test managers, product owners, execution leads, Scrum Masters, operations teams, etc., in order to secure a safe and successful delivery.
What you’ll be doing:

• Coordinating, planning, and maintaining the release roadmap for one or more applications.
• Release and deployment planning and coordination of multiple parallel releases.
• Planning release go-live and post-go-live activities.
• Planning, coordinating, and tracking change activities throughout the release process.
• Leading release decision meetings to secure stakeholder approval for each release milestone.
• Planning and setting up handover sessions from development teams to operations teams.
• Increasing release quality and efficiency by integrating new techniques, automation capabilities, and DevOps ways of working into release orchestration.

To succeed in this role, it is essential to have:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in IT or related disciplines.
• Excellent networking and interpersonal skills.
• An analytical mindset with great coordination and planning skills.
• Attention to detail, with the ability to maintain an overview and deliver on commitments and dependencies.
• Accountability, proactivity, and the ability to quickly adapt and respond to change.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Flexibility to work extra paid evenings and weekends for implementation events.
• Practical understanding of Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies.
• High proficiency in spoken and written English.
• A technical mindset.

Description of knowledge and experience:

• IT project management and planning skills (7+ years).
• Previous experience in release or deployment management activities (preferably from the banking sector).
• Experience working with incident, problem, and change management tools and processes under the ITIL framework.
• Confidence in working with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment practices.
• Basic understanding of DevOps ways of working.
• Strong communication skills and fundamental technical knowledge to collaborate with development teams and create & validate deployment runbooks.
• A passion for working with industry-leading release orchestration tools to create automated release pipelines with the help of technical experts.
