We’re proud of our more than sixty years’ of hands-on experience designing and building analog semiconductor technology across the RF to Light spectrum.Reliability Engineer 1Job Description:MACOM European Semiconductor Center is looking for a reliability engineer. This role will provide the candidate with opportunity for personal growth in the MMIC and reliability fields, a major business initiative within MACOM. The Reliability Engineer will assist the team with the testing and execution of the qualification programs of MMIC components (Transistors, LNA, PA, Mixer). The reliability engineer will also oversee the daily execution of the new product qualification plans. This will include equipment basic PCB board design, basic electrical wiring and power connections, test measurement set-up and debug. The reliability engineer will also collect data through device measurements, complete basic data analysis and interpretation. The reliability engineer will also assist in failure analysis of failed samples and contribute to root cause and corrective action reports.Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the team in executing the qualification plan for reliability campaigns
• Develop practical skills and theoretical knowledge regarding reliability engineering systems, standards, failure modes and data analysis.Assist in developing & implementing hardware, software or characterization system improvements.
• Assist in developing & implementing hardware, software or characterization system improvements
• Problem solving skills: learn to use existing methodologies to solve routine technical problems encountered during the qualification process. Setting-up DC and RF test bench for reliability and execute intermediate stage measurements.
• Gather test data on qualification products.
• Develop tools to improve efficiency.
• Conduct hands-on reliability assessment and failure analysis activities. • Conduct accelerated evaluations of reliability using temperature, voltage, current & other stresses.

Key Competencies and Skills Required:

• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and good interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel).
• Exposure to project-based work in an academic or industry environment.
• Exposure and knowledge to RF and microwave components beneficial.
• Knowledge of C/C++, Python, Visual Basic or LabVIEW an advantage.
• Experience with operating basic test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, network analyzers and spectrum analyzers desired.
• Ability to read and understand board schematics, basic circuit designs, and layout drawings to understand test system and device operations for troubleshooting
• Experience with RF/Microwave CAE tools such as Microwave Office and/or Advanced Design System for PCB design

Education Requirement:

• Master degree in electronics or equivalent.
• Experience in reliability is a plus, but not necessary.
