Offer DescriptionAccording to the Polish regulations, Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW, Institute of Civil Engineering searches for the candidate for the position of research and teaching assistant. The ideal candidate should have a Msc, Ing, or doctoral degree (PhD) in the field of engineering and technology, the area of mechanics and strength of materials.Where to apply E-mailwanda_kos@sggw.edu.plRequirementsResearch Field Engineering » Civil engineering Education Level Master Degree or equivalentSkills/QualificationsMsc, Ing, or PhD degree in the field of engineering and technology, the area of mechanics and strength of materials.,– experience in conducting didactic classes in the Polish language in the mechanics of constructions,– publication record in form of peer-reviewed scientific publications – minimum 4 monographs or papers in highly ranked scientific journals, included in relevant lists of the Ministry of Education and Science,– supervision of a scientific project (currently or in past) or submission of a scientific project in a contest organized by an institution funding scientific researches,– knowledge of Polish and English languages at the level which enables conducting didactic classes in both of these languages and writing scientific papers,– a scientific internship in foreign scientific centers or other type of a visible scientific activity at the international level (additional asset),– knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD Robot or Dlubal RFEM,– good teamworking skills.The candidate should obtain a positive opinion of the didactic committee concerning a conduction of didactic classes. If the candidate is not a WULS employee, he/she should also obtain a positive opinion for a lecture presented at a seminar organized by the Institute of Civil Engineering of WULS.Specific RequirementsThe position covers three main areas: research, teaching, scientific cooperation. The candidate should also give the instructions and supervise the students’ homeworks.
