This role is part of an externally funded project on local currency lending by Multilateral Development Banks. It is led by Prof. Annina Kaltenbrunner in the Economics Department. The project investigates the actual and perceived risks of lending in developing country currencies by Multilateral Development Banks. The research assistant will be integral part of the team and involved in all research activities. They will take part in strategic meetings, and be able to shape the research process. They will need a good understanding of financial and macroeconomic dynamics in developing and emerging economies. Some experience in quantitative methods is desired.
