Salary;
Research Assistant – Grade 7 £31,411 to £35,333 per annum together with USS Benefits
Research Officer – Grade 8 £36,386 per annum together with USS Benefits
Contract: Fixed term until December 2024

The Medical School at Swansea University are seeking to appoint a Research Assistant or Postdoctoral Research Officer to work on the NeutroCure project funded by the European Union under Future Emerging Technologies. The role will involve exploring how novel immunomodulatory drugs work in immune cells from people with inflammatory disease conditions. We have a particular interest in biomarkers such as oxysterols and their analysis using mass spectrometry.
The successful candidate must possess a degree in a relevant field (e.g.) Biomedical Science, Analytical Chemistry with experience in in mass spectrometry, inflammation biology and a PhD is desirable. They will have experience of conducting research of publishable quality, and ideally experience of immunological methods such as flow cytometry.
