Offer DescriptionRECTOR OF CZESTOCHOWA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGYannounces an open competition for the post ofResearch Assistant Professor (POST-DOC)at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineeringunder the NCN project No. UMO-2024/53/B/ST8/02908:„Optimization of hydrogen oxy-combustion and hydrogen-ammonia combustion using experimental techniques, high-fidelity numerical simulations, and machine learning”The competition is open to applicants who meet the detailed requirements specified in the NCN (National Science Centre) regulations and by the competition committee.CONDITIONS FOR ENTERING THE COMPETITION: * A PhD degree in engineering and technical sciences in the discipline of mechanical engineering, mechanics or power engineering, or in the exact sciences in the discipline of physics.

• Publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals related to CFD and mathematical modelling (either independently or as the first author).
• Very good knowledge of computational methods in computational fluid mechanics.
• Very good knowledge of turbulent combustion modelling methods.
• Very good knowledge of flow control methods.
• Programming skills in Fortran and parallel computing.
• Knowledge of the Linux operating system.
• Knowledge of DNS and LES methods.
• Knowledge of computational and data analysis programs (ANSYS, OpenFoam, Matlab, Tecplot).
• Very good command of the English language.
