We aim to inspire young people to engage with science and engineering through our outreach work.Our research at the medical imaging technology team is dedicated to developing functional optical coherence tomography (OCT), medical ultrasound imaging and therapeutic devices, as well as software for image registration and processing, tissue mimicking, modelling, and tissue properties testing.RoleOur research is focusing on a range of activities from development of novel functional medical ultrasound and optical coherence tomography (OCT) to both preclinical and clinical applications. We are currently seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate in translational OCT imaging research for a period of up to 24 months. The successful candidate will conduct OCT research applicable to medical fields where these technologies are making a significant impact and will also contribute to identifying and developing new research areas and proposals. The PDRA will be supervised by Professor Zhihong Huang and will collaborate closely with the Skin Research Centre, the medical engineering team, and a growing portfolio of industrial projects.Skills, Experience & Qualification neededYou will have:
