The Surrey Morphology Group in the School of Literature and Languages, University of Surrey, is seeking to appoint a post-doctoral Research Fellow at the fractional rate of 0.6FTE (equivalent to 3 days per week) initially for 3 months, funded by a British Academy Global Professorship awarded to Prof. Erich Round. The position is to start to on 1 November 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The role
We seek a linguist to assist in digitising a hand-written phonetic corpus of dialectal morphological data, using a digital workflow.
About you
You must have a PhD and previous postdoctoral experience in linguistics with a focus on inflectional morphology. You must have a familiarity with typologically diverse morphological systems. You must be available to work on campus on average at least one day per week.
