The University of Westminster, located in the heart of Central London, is seeking a Research Finance Assistant to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting the financial administration of research and consultancy projects.
As a Research Finance Assistant, you will collaborate closely with the Research Finance Analysts, the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, and academic staff. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring accurate and timely financial data input, maintaining records, and acting as a source of expertise in the administration of the project Masterfile.
Key Duties involve:
Cultivate expertise in the administration and maintenance of the project Masterfile.
Develop an understanding of various research funding schemes and organisations, including Research Councils, charities, industry, government agencies, and EU funding.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with academic and Research & Knowledge Exchange office colleagues.
Attend regular meetings and actively contribute as a valued team member.
To thrive in this role, you should be organised collaborative, and possess strong interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment and discretion is essential.
