Position:                          Full-time

As a Research Manager, you will be an integral part of the operations and management of Hult Research. You will be an expert at managing the day-to-day organization and delivery of research resources, activities, systems, and platforms to ensure they run efficiently, operate to a very high standard, and support the development and delivery of quality research.  


1.       Research Management and Support:

o   Proactive management and improvement of research systems and platforms.

o   Efficient processing of faculty resource requests including research support, research funding, and research incentives.

o   Support the Dean/Associate Dean and Research Impact Labs with management of research activities.

o   Assist the Lab Directors and Lab Manager with organizing research events and arrangements for research events as appropriate.

o   Actively promote best practices for research amongst colleagues.

2.       Administration and Communication:

o   Excellent administration and reporting of research data for internal and external stakeholders.

o   Management of communications for Hult research online, onsite, and by email and other media including coordinating with Research Communication Manager.

o   Represent Hult research at internal and external events.

3.       Committee and Event Management:

o   Manage Research Committee processes and be the Secretary to the Research Committee.

o   Support the Dean/Associate Dean with review meetings and dissemination of information to relevant external and internal stakeholders, leading such meetings as agreed and required.

4.       Resource and Policy Advisory:

o   Proactive management of the central research resources and other people resources engaged with research in collaboration with Research Lab Manager.

o   Advise faculty and researchers about research policies and processes.

o   Build effective professional relationships with internal stakeholders; faculty, adjuncts, deans, supervisors, doctoral learners, and other internal units/groups (Enrolment, Marketing, Finance) – the trusted go-to person for Hult Research.

5.       Development and Innovation:

o   Support the Dean/Associate Dean with the development and delivery of new research initiatives.

o   Manage other ad-hoc internal projects as required from time to time by Line Manager.

o   A creative and innovative personality, ability to conceptualize and implement efficient solutions and processes to enhance and improve operations.

Experience and skills

1.       Research Environment and Administration:

o   Experience of working in an agile and growing research environment.

o   Previous experience in research administration.

2.       Educational Background:

o   Educated to master’s level (doctoral preferred).

3.       Technical Proficiency:

o   Familiarity with tools like Canvas, Formstack, Salesforce, and systems design tools.

o   A confident user of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, as well as open to adapting to other software such as ChatGPT, Elicit, Perplexity and other relevant GenerativeAI Tools.

4.       Analytical and Organizational Skills:

o   Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving and project management skills.

o   Exceptionally well organized, able to plan ahead and balance long-term planning with short-term targets.

o   High attention to detail.

5.       Communication and Problem-Solving:

o   Excellent communication skills, written and oral, in day-to-day dealings with faculty, staff, and students.

o   Be good at problem-solving and have the attitude that ‘nothing is impossible’.

6.       Language Proficiency:

o   Native English speaker or similar level of written and spoken English
