The NPEU Clinical Trials Unit (NPEU CTU) has an exciting opportunity for a Research Nurse to join our team.  You will provide training and support for participating sites, promote and maintain trial interest and motivate staff in participating centres. You will work with the Trial Manager and administrative team to successfully deliver this UK multicentre randomised controlled trial. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, supportive team leading a training package and to also contribute to wider development work of the Clinical Trials Unit.

The postholder will be based within the Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) which contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching.

The NPEU is an internationally recognised, multi-disciplinary research unit based within the NDPH at the University of Oxford, Old Road Campus in Headington, Oxford. The unit undertakes research about pregnancy, childbirth and new-born babies.

The post holder will forge strong relationships with participating sites to ensure recruitment and trial compliance is maintained, data is completed accurately and the trial is carried out according to the protocol. This will involve regular travel throughout the UK to clinical centres.

To be considered, you will hold a degree in nursing and be a first level registered nurse with full current NMC registration with experience of working within the specialty of paediatric or neonatal care with evidence of post registration study. You will also have experience of working on a randomised controlled trial or other health care research as well as experience of handling trial data and producing effective management reports.

There will be opportunity for some hybrid office/remote working in line with department guidance.

Please note this post in being offered with a variable FTE to allow for the opportunity for combined working alongside a clinical role and job shares. NHS secondments will be considered in line with applicable policies.
