Offer DescriptionResearch line*: Molecular and materials chemistry (Químical molecular y de materiales)Grant/funding reference: ED431C 2022/39Job title: Ayudas para la consolidación y estructuración de unidades de investigación competitivas y otras acciones de fomento en las universidades del SUG – GRCJOB LOCATION AND SCHEDULE: CICA, from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00Recruitment to carry out tasks in the research line ‘Molecular and materials chemistry’.DETAILS OF THE CALL * Tasks to be performed.The tasks to be carried out by the beneficiary of this contract will be the following: * Technical support in the synthesis of phase change materials with thermal properties for barocaloric cooling and heating and thermal energy storage.

• Technical support in the manufacture of composites with thermal properties for cooling and barocaloric heating and thermal energy storage, by means of foam manufacturing, 3D printing and/or electrospinning.
• Technical support in differential scanning calorimetry analysis at variable temperature and pressure.
• Technical support in thermometry analysis using thermocouples and data loggers at variable temperature and solar radiation.
• Technical support in thermometry analysis using infrared thermal camera.
• Technical support in thermal conductivity analysis.
• Technical support in the drafting of scientific-technical reports.

2. Unsuccessful candidates who achieve a minimum score of 50 points will be placed on the waiting list.

• Academic qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (equivalent to the “Spanish Licenciado/a” or “Graduado/a”) in Chemistry, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology or Materials Science = 15 points. Other qualifications = 0 points.
• Master’s degree in research in the areas of Chemistry, Nanoscience and nanotechnology, or Materials Science = 10 points. Other degrees = 0 points.
• Work experience in the field of research related to the study of phase change materials and composites for barocaloric cooling and heating applications and/or for thermal energy storage: 5 points per hired month in a research project with these characteristics. Maximum 25 points.
• Demonstrable experience in the use of differential scanning calorimetry and thermometry equipment at variable pressure and temperature. Experience of more than 6 months = 5 points. Experience less than 6 months = 0 points.
• Demonstrable experience in the manufacture of composites for barocaloric cooling and heating applications and/or for thermal energy storage by means of encapsulation techniques in foams, aerogels, 3D printing and/or electrospinning. Experience more than 6 months = 5 points. Experience less than 6 months = 0 points.

Personal interview.
