VHIR offers a vacancy for a Research Technician position within the Musculoskeletal Tissue Engineering Group (BST-VHIR).Education and qualifications:Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry
• Specific training in qPCR, Western blot, ICC
• Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, English (CAE C1 Advanced)

Experience and knowledge:Required:

• Proven experience in human mesenchymal stromal and human aortic smooth muscle cell culture and basic molecular and cellular biology techniques for cell characterisation
• Experience in the design of stem cell culture strategies, flow cytometry and cell differentiation.

Desired:

• Proven experience in international laboratories
• Proven experience in blood, cell and tissue establishments
• Good communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English
• Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, resourceful, self-motivation, team-working and social skills as key personal abilities

Main responsibilities and duties:

• To contribute to the development of novel cell-based therapeutics in compliance with current quality and regulatory standards.
• To identify, develop and apply a broad range of techniques to pursue the research objectives.
• To write/review/update registers and/or SOPs, plan/execute/analyse/report preclinical studies.
• Provide support to lab collaborators.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Keep track of scientific and technical advances in the field of stem cell research and therapy.

Labour conditions:

• Full-time position: 40h/week
• Starting date: April 2025
• Duration: 4 months
• Gross annual salary: 22.823,22€
• Contract: Temporary
