Applications are invited for the part-time (0.7FTE) post of Researcher Development Officer in the Doctoral School. This role is available from April 2023 and is fixed term until end of July 2025.
This is a new post to reflect the growing postgraduate researcher population and our mission to support their transferable and professional skills development. The post-holder will be responsible for the English Language and academic writing training within the Researcher Development Programme situated in the Doctoral School. This is an exciting opportunity to engage and interact with postgraduate researchers from a wide background and grow this area of the training and development. We hope the post holder will benefit from the professional and personal development opportunities and experience in this role.
We are looking for someone who is educated to PhD level with experience of teaching English Language and/or Academic Writing at HE level. The post-holder will have an understanding and knowledge of HE academic writing theory and practice, ability to communicate complex concepts in an understandable way, and demonstrate ability to work independently, to take initiative and to innovate.

The post is primarily based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
This is a fixed term post of two years with the possibility of extension. The interview process will consist of a panel interview and task.
