Are you passionate about cutting-edge materials science and eager to make a tangible impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? We’re looking for a Resist Chemist to join our multidisciplinary team, working at the forefront of advanced patterning technologies.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on laboratory role focused on the development, synthesis, processing, and characterisation of resist materials used in state-of-the-art instrumentation. You’ll be instrumental throughout the entire lifecycle of resist materials—from early-stage synthesis and formulation to process optimisation and performance validation. Advanced characterisation techniques like SEM, AFM, profilometry, and other metrology tools will be part of your daily toolkit.
What You’ll Do:

-Formulate new resist systems based on performance targets and beamline compatibility
-Produce small- to medium-scale batches following SOPs
-Synthesise and characterise organosilanes at the lab scale
-Evaluate resist performance using SEM, AFM, and surface metrology techniques
-Conduct patterning tests and assess resolution, LER, and process windows
-Develop and refine SOPs for new and existing resist systems
-Translate research findings into reproducible, scalable production workflows
-Assist in sourcing and managing precursor materials and external partnerships
-Support the expansion of lab facilities, including layout planning and capability development
-Uphold rigorous lab safety and cleanroom standards
-Maintain thorough documentation and ensure data traceability
-Contribute to the development of pre- and post-exposure processing protocolsAbout You:

-MSc or PhD in Organic Chemistry, Materials Science, or a closely related field
-Experience with polymer/resist chemistry and self-assembled monolayers
-Skilled in lab-scale synthesis, formulation, and characterisation
-Proficient with SEM and/or AFM for nanoscale analysis
-Strong attention to detail, with robust documentation and communication skills in English
-Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a high-paced, evolving environmentNice-to-Have Skills:

-Familiarity with photoresists, e-beam resists, or radiation-sensitive materials
-Experience with lithographic processing and cleanroom protocols
-Background in academic-industrial R&D collaborations or technology transfer
Ready to Join Us?
If you’re excited about pushing the boundaries of materials chemistry and contributing to next-generation technology, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now and be a part of our journey.
